Chocolate Brownies

This is my full proof go to homemade fudgy chocolate brownies recipe and after one bite you'll see why! This delicious chocolatey goodness comes together in just a few minutes. Lets not even get started on those little chunks of melted chocolate which you get in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 150 g castor sugar
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 75 g cocoa powder
  • 120 g all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200 g dark chocolate chunks/ chips
  • 1 tbsp coffee
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180˚ C and line an 8 × 8inch baking pan with grease proof paper.
  • In a bowl combine melted butter, eggs, vanilla essence and coffee. Mix well.
  • Add the castor & brown sugar to the mixture and whisk together.
  • Sift the cocoa powder, flour and salt into a bowl.
  • Toss in the chocolate chunks or chips and fold into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into a baking pan and smooth to the edges.

Notes

  • Do not over-bake the brownies. When a skewer/toothpick is inserted into the center it will not come out clean. You'll some cracks at the top when it's done.
  • Wondering what kind of chocolate to use? Use semisweet or bittersweet chocolate to balance out the sugar in the recipe for best results.
