This is my full proof go to homemade fudgy chocolate brownies recipe and after one bite you'll see why! This delicious chocolatey goodness comes together in just a few minutes. Lets not even get started on those little chunks of melted chocolate which you get in every bite.
Servings 9 pieces
- 150 g castor sugar
- 150 g brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 75 g cocoa powder
- 120 g all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 200 g dark chocolate chunks/ chips
- 1 tbsp coffee
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
Preheat the oven to 180˚ C and line an 8 × 8inch baking pan with grease proof paper.
In a bowl combine melted butter, eggs, vanilla essence and coffee. Mix well.
Add the castor & brown sugar to the mixture and whisk together.
Sift the cocoa powder, flour and salt into a bowl.
Toss in the chocolate chunks or chips and fold into the batter.
Pour the batter into a baking pan and smooth to the edges.
- Do not over-bake the brownies. When a skewer/toothpick is inserted into the center it will not come out clean. You'll some cracks at the top when it's done.
- Wondering what kind of chocolate to use? Use semisweet or bittersweet chocolate to balance out the sugar in the recipe for best results.
